Hospice Awareness Week
Dave needs a new van.
I’m sure you’ve seen Dave and his Hospice van on the road. Every day Dave is calling on patients, delivering items such as electric beds, pressure-sensitive mattresses, wheelchairs and shower stools. This is a free service to our patients and we simply couldn’t do it without Dave and his van.
A big part of Dave’s day is picking up donated items to sell in our shops, transferring stock between shops and making deliveries to buyers. Dave is a very busy man and his van is never off the road - until recently that is.
These past few months the Hospice van has had more than its share of breakdown days. The prognosis is not good - the van goes - but Dave stays.
As Dave and his van touch so many people in the community we thought the community would like to help buy us a new one.
May 11 to 17 is Hospice Awareness Week. We are inviting you to support your local Hospice by making a contribution towards the purchase of our new van.
And every time you see Dave and his new van, you will know that your donation is being put to very good use making a difference to a great many people in the district.
Your support will be appreciated by everyone in the community – and especially by Dave.
Kind regards
Winsome Stretch
General Manager
