Make a Bequest in your will to the Hibiscus Hospice Endowment Trust

What is a bequest?

Before you make or change your Will you need to think carefully about how you wish to distribute your assets. While family and dependants generally come first, more and more people are also including a charity to receive a percentage of the residue of their estate.

In some instances people are donating the funds before they die. That way they see the benefit of their donation in their own lifetime.

What is the Hibiscus Hospice Endowment Trust?

The Hibiscus Hospice Endowment Trust has been established to receive and manage bequests. This trust has a different board of trustees to that of the Hibiscus Hospice Charitable Trust, and its prime function is to manage the distribution of funds to the Charitable Trust.

Why have an endowment trust?

The Hibiscus Hospice Endowment Trust manages the capital (the pool of bequests) and pays out interest earned to the Hibiscus Hospice Charitable Trust. The Endowment Trust never touches this capital.

This means that your bequest remains as interest earning capital. Yes, your bequest will continue to earn funds for Hibiscus Hospice decades, (centuries even) after your death.
